Zcash Ironwood Upgrade Gains Keystone Day-One Aid

Zcash Ironwood hard fork gets Keystone day-one support after Orchard patch and Nexus app updates for TEX and T3 addresses.

Zcash is preparing for the Ironwood hard fork after developers patched a vulnerability in the Orchard pool. The update has become important for users holding shielded ZEC.

Keystone is also preparing for the network change through an upcoming firmware update. The company said Ironwood support will be available from day one.

The planned support matters for users who store ZEC through hardware wallets. It also helps users prepare before the next Zcash network change.

Keystone is also updating its Nexus app for wider Zcash support. The changes cover network compatibility and more transparent address options.

Zcash Patch Comes Before Ironwood

The Zcash team identified and patched a vulnerability linked to the Orchard pool. Orchard supports shielded activity on the Zcash network

Therefore, the fix came at an important stage. The patch arrived while the ecosystem prepared for the Ironwood hard fork.

Wallet providers and apps must update before the network changes. This helps users avoid service issues during the transition.

Zcash users are now watching how wallet support develops before Ironwood.

Shielded transactions remain a key part of the network. As a result, secure migration support is an important focus.

Keystone Plans Day-One Support

Keystone said its next firmware update will support Ironwood from the first day. This gives hardware wallet users time to prepare.

It also supports users who manage their own ZEC custody. Once the zodl app adds support, users can move shielded ZEC from Orchard to Ironwood.

The process is expected to keep users in control of their assets. However, the final timing depends on app readiness.

Hardware wallets are often used by holders who want offline key storage. For ZEC users, shielded cold storage can help protect private access. Keystone is placing its update around that custody need.

Nexus App Expands Zcash Tools

Keystone is also improving Zcash support inside the Nexus app. The app will receive an updated consensus branch ID.

This change is meant to support full network compatibility. The Nexus app will also add wider support for TEX addresses.

TEX addresses are transparent addresses linked to exchange use. This update may help users interact with platforms that require transparent transfers.

Support for T3 transparent addresses is also being added. T3 addresses are connected to multi-signature wallet use.

Together, these updates prepare Keystone users for wider Zcash activity after Ironwood. The Zcash update now includes a security patch, firmware planning, and app changes.

Keystone’s day-one Ironwood support gives users a clear preparation path. ZEC holders will now watch zodl app support and the final hard fork timeline.
